About Murray RC
Club meetings are held the second Saturday of each month at 9:30 AM on the flying field if weather permits, otherwise at the Murray Kentucky Airport administration building.
Club membership dues are $50.00 per calendar year and are used to maintain the flying facility and property lease and to cover the cost of field maintenance during the flying season. Individuals belonging to the club must maintain a current AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) membership primarily for insurance coverage and other benefits afforded AMA chartered clubs. The Club's flying field and facilities are located on Murray/Calloway County Airport property. The field includes an 80' x 600' mown grass strip, 5 flight stations, safety barriers, pavilion and extensive parking. A map to ERWIN FIELD can be found in the Flying Field page of this site. Flying is restricted to club members, their guests with AMA membership, and student fliers working with the certified instructors.
